High Holidays with Chabad of Olney

Rosh Hashanah: Sept. 11 - 13, 2026
Yom Kippur: Sept. 20 – 21, 2026
Join us at Chabad of Olney for the High Holidays. More than a service, it’s an experience: welcoming, inspiring, relevant.

Our services are refreshingly casual and easy to follow, with Hebrew/English prayer books and bite-sized insights shared throughout. You don’t have to read Hebrew. Stop in for a few minutes or stay for a few hours.

Reform or Conservative, Orthodox or unaffiliated, Sephardi or Ashkenazi, well-versed or unversed: at Chabad the labels fall away. There’s a children’s program running alongside the morning services and a Kiddush buffet after. No membership, no strings attached, just a reservation.

Schedule of Services

Services run across two locations over both holidays. See the full order of the day, from Rosh Hashanah evening through the close of Yom Kippur.

Shofar in the Park

A short Rosh Hashanah program outdoors on the athletic field, for all ages. Hear the shofar under an open sky, then head over to the caramel apple factory. Come for the half hour even if you haven’t made it to anything else.

Children’s Program

The children get their own program alongside the services, run by leaders who keep it moving: activities, songs, praying, games, outdoor play and snacks. The goal is that they come away with good memories of being in shul.

Chabad Shareholders

Chabad of Olney runs on tzedaka rather than dues. Shareholders are the families who keep the doors open all year, and every one who joins makes the community steadier.
